Work on the second volume of Jellaby has begun in earnest. There’s a bit of a shakeup here at the Secret Friend Society, and Hope has the following announcement she’d like to make:

“I’d like to announce that Kean Soo will be taking the reins of the Secret Friend Society. Salamander Dream will remain on the site for as long as it exists, but I don’t anticipate making any new artistic or editorial contributions. I’m super busy with Chiggers and Tulip Tree Press, and I’d rather spend my free time baking cakes, playing Ticket to Ride and occasionally leaving the house. Kean has some exciting stuff planned for the SFS, so check back often!”

So there you have it. I’ll certainly miss having Hope around, but this is simply a case of the two of us moving onwards to bigger and brighter things. I do indeed have a plan in the works for continuing the SFS (including a few new web-only Jellaby shorts), which will hopefully see the light of day sooner rather than later. I hope some of you will stick around for that.
