The second Jellaby graphic novel, Jellaby: Monster in the City, is set to be in bookstores in less than a month! The release date is April 21, and it’s already available to be pre-ordered through Amazon.com. This second book picks up immediately where the first book ended, and will bring the story of Portia, Jason and Jellaby to a satisfying conclusion. I had always intended for Jellaby to be read as a single 300-page story, so I would suggest you dust off your copy of the first book and give it a re-read before reading Monster in the City!

My appearance schedule for this year is also starting to take shape, so if you’re interested, here is a list of my appearances sprinkled in with some notable dates for you all to keep in mind (there may be more events on the horizon, so watch this space for further updates):

- May 2: Free Comic Book Day (the FCBD comic, Comics Festival 2009, will feature two Jellaby stories — an all-new 3-page Jellaby story, and the first print edition of “The Birthday Card!”)
- May 9-10: Toronto Comic Arts Festival
- May 17: Maine Comics Art Festival
- June 6-7: Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art Festival
- July 21: Flight Volume Six released (features a new 10-page Jellaby story!)
- July 23-26: San Diego Comic-Con
