About The Secret Friend Society
The Secret Friend Society is the joint project of cartoonists Hope Larson and Kean Soo. Follow the adventures of Hailey, Portia, and their imaginary friends in these two seperately updated all-ages comics. Jellaby is currently on hiatus; Salamander Dream is now complete and remains archived on this website.

Hope Larson (Salamander Dream)
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Hope is currently living in Canada with her husband and three ridiculous cats. She holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with an emphasis on printmaking. She has written two graphic novels, Salamander Dream (AdHouse Books) and Gray Horses (Oni Press), and her work appears in several anthologies. She also draws a weekly autobiographical strip, she's from away, which appears in Halifax, Nova Scotia's The Coast.

Kean Soo (Jellaby)
Born in England and raised in Hong Kong, Kean is an electrical engineer currently residing in Canada. In addition to his online comics, several of his stories have been published in various comic anthologies, including all of the Flight anthologies. Jellaby will be his first graphic novel, to be published by Hyperion Books for Children in 2008. Kean is absolutely terrible at keeping secrets, and hates writing in the third person.
